A little love, an easy app, and some quick treats
no reservations required
I’m honestly charmed by Valentine’s Day. There’s something so sweet and widespread about it. A kiddo writing cards for classmates, a friend celebrating with pals, or feeling all the romance.
It’s also a pink-and-red explosion of an opportunity to see all the love in your life.
And to eat HEAPS of chocolate.
GOLDEN GOODIES
Take it from someone who is not a “pretty” baker, this Valentine’s hearts pavlova wreath is a simple case of trace and fill. Filled with fresh whipped cream and your berries of choice, it makes for a deliciously loved-up showstopper.
Taking two of my favorite bakes and making them into one sandwich cookie. These chocolate velvet linzer cookies taste like eating a buttery chocolate pie crust, with a dusting of strawberries, sandwiched around a cream cheese filling.
I don’t need an occasion to pound down some buffalo chicken. This buffalo chicken appetizer makes for a simple savory bake, wrapped in store-bought puff pastry for an easy handheld bite.
It’s no secret I love a cookies-and-cream vibe. So, of course, after seeing a bag of Oreo muddy buddies while traveling, I knew I had to make a batch for myself.
Bonus: make a big bowl in less than 10 minutes!
Sprinkles make the heart happy, and so does a 5-minute cake you bake right in your microwave. This fluffy funfetti mug cake makes for a quick sweet treat topped with vanilla buttercream (frosting optional, but… do we say no to frosting?).
Excuse me while I try to get Mandy Moore’s rendition of “Stupid Cupid” out of my head.
All the love,
Hannah
