Are cookie boxes actually good?
I do appreciate the effort, but…
I’d rather have a fresh cookie.
Actually, I’d rather have two fresh cookies, from two of your absolute favorite recipes.
I’d rather have two fresh cookies, from two of your absolute favorite recipes, that you spent the morning making while happily listening to your favorite holiday tunes.
0 stress, 0 expectations. Just a yummy, gifted treat you thought I might like. No days-on-days of baking to pass out boxes of cookies that are likely… past their peak.
Truly, no shade to cookie box people.
If you genuinely love it, I truly love that for you.
It’s just a baking trend I’ve seen blow up more and more over the years that maybeee needs to touch grass just a little.
That being said… do I pass up the opportunity to see what’s in someone’s box? Nope. Do I respect the commitment (+a homemade gift)? Absahtootly.
Now, I’m getting off my cookie jar and onto some treats I believe will close out your year DELICIOUSLY (whether you put them in a cookie box or not).
GOLDEN GOODIES
We’re taking two bangers and folding them into one. Edible chocolate chip cookie dough mixed with a creamy fudge base, chilled, and sliced into fudgy-bite-mark heaven.
I possibly saved the best for last with this one. A moist (yes, I SAID IT) chocolate olive oil cake topped with a simple dark mint chocolate ganache.
If you’re a mint chocolate hater, just use plain dark chocolate. Easy peasy.
I’m an avid hot chocolate drinker, and this is one of my favorites.
A simple s’more hot chocolate, that makes one mug (heyyy solo hot chocolate drinkers), complete with graham cracker crumbs and roasty, toasty marshmallows (the crispier the better).
While cookies are prevalent during the holidays, I would vote that it’s really cheesecake’s time to shine. If you want something a little unique, but wildly good, this rosemary cheesecake with a spiced crust, fresh rosemary filling, and a simple cranberry compote on top will do the trick.
I hope you stay safe this holiday season and make the best memories, whether you’re cozying up solo or packing in with family/friends. I’m so so happy you’re here 💕💕
See ya next year 😏
