Easy sweet treat inspo
cause we love some low-lift goodies
Since we last spoke (or read, I guess?) I ripped a hole in a pair of my favorite sweats (of which I have a few cause coziness is my brand), replenished my monthly stash of homemade granola, and bought some new embroidery supplies (I’m determined to stitch all the pretty designs).
Oh, and I got a new teapot! Cause I realized my old one was definitely no bueno, and I’m slowly but surely trying to switch out those products for non-toxic ones.
Basically, I’m a brand-new gal with all these big moves.
Anywhoseldorf, I can’t believe THANKSGIVING IS A WEEK AWAY. Below are some of my favorites, both new and old, if you’re in need of some menu inspiration.
GOLDEN GOODIES
The perfect balance of chew with a crinkled top. I love oats in a cookie for that added texture. Plus, a little roll in sugar before baking? Yes MA’AM.
They’re also just the right amount of peanut buttery (cause OG pb cookies can be a bit much if we’re being honest).
The absolute best part about the holidays, right in one 70s-looking dish. If you’re a lover of anything cinnamon-sugar bread, this 4-ingredient bake is for you.
*pro-tip*: Use a pie pan to flip your bubble bread (or monkey bread, geez) out. It easily catches all the drippings in one fell… flip.
These babies had a tiny viral moment when I first shared them last year, so I figured it was time for a delicious reminder. They’re a great “just sweet” enough cookie, made with a rosemary shortbread base, and a pool of white chocolate ganache in the center.
+because I’m always here to remind you about how GOOD rosemary is in baked goods, here are 11 of the best rosemary recipes (sweet & savory!).
As someone who has considered opening a pie shop, I would be remiss in the midst of pie season to not share some of my favorite recipes. We’ve always gotta have something fruity and something chocolatey on the dessert table, my two musts being this Classic Cherry Pie and, of course, this Chocolate Pudding Pie.
Also, if you want to know how to make the best, most flakiest pie crust, check out this video.
Now, if you’re a newbie baker or someone who just likes to dabble, I’m talking you through 7 common baking directions and WHY you do them here. Because the more you know, the better you bake!
My current reads…
I used to share my favorite highlights weekly on my IG Stories, but then I let that fall by the wayside… So I figured I’d include a section in these newsletters for my current reads in case anyone is looking for some bookish inspo.
